With this designation, Watkins Insurance Group will have the access to advanced service and claims resources to help solve complex insurance issues for our clients.

#PinkTieGuys: Matt Womack

It’s almost Valentines Day and in honor of the women in their lives who have been impacted by breast cancer, the Pink Tie Guys are asking for help to give the greatest gift of love possible – hope! Every dollar raised on February 13th will help to pay for life-saving mammograms, testing and more to help ensure women all across central and east Texas have the breast health services they need.

Matt Womack (Watkins Insurance Group Shareholder) shares why he’s a Pink Tie Guy.

Today I am raising money for Susan G. Komen Greater Central and East Texas in honor of my Mom, Ima Womack. To me, my Mom was the toughest, kindest, funniest, don’t ask the question if you didn’t want an answer, angel of a person. She fought breast cancer for 15 years and lost the final battle 7 years ago. Even when she was sick from chemo and radiation she would drive others to their doctor appointments because “they were sick and needed help”. I think of her every day and miss her but know she is up above watching her pride and joy (her grandchildren) grow up. I wish she was here with us so they could once again know just how much she loved them.

I am supporting Susan G. Komen because I know the work they do for the fighters and survivors is so important to those going through this battle. It is a great organization that deserves our support. Please consider making a donation of any size and please forward to your friends and family. It is greatly appreciated and the money is put to good work here in our local community to offer services to our friends and families that need a network of support to win their battle.

Thank you!  Miss you Mom!!

Watkins Insurance Group Named A 2018 Top Workplace

Watkins Insurance Group has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Austin American-Statesman. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

“We are so proud to be recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Austin for eight consecutive years. This ranking means so much to us because it reaffirms that we’re fostering an atmosphere where our employees know that they are valued.” said Patrick Watkins, President, Watkins Insurance Group. “As Watkins Insurance Group approaches our 70th anniversary, we’ve seen first-hand that success in business depends on providing the very best in client care. To provide that level of care, each employee must strive in their individual efforts to meet that group goal. Simply put, I believe that an organization that provides the best for its team will have a team that provides the best for its customers.”

Watkins Human Resources Manager, Kimberly Vasquez, adds: “We value relationships, so creating a work environment which promotes collaboration and teamwork comes naturally to everyone who works at Watkins. The culture at Watkins Insurance Group is about building relationships with each other, our clients, and our community. Our core values drive our daily operations and help us sustain a culture built on service.”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
