It’s almost Valentines Day and in honor of the women in their lives who have been impacted by breast cancer, the Pink Tie Guys are asking for help to give the greatest gift of love possible – hope! Every dollar raised on February 13th will help to pay for life-saving mammograms, testing and more to help ensure women all across central and east Texas have the breast health services they need.
Matt Womack (Watkins Insurance Group Shareholder) shares why he’s a Pink Tie Guy.
Today I am raising money for Susan G. Komen Greater Central and East Texas in honor of my Mom, Ima Womack. To me, my Mom was the toughest, kindest, funniest, don’t ask the question if you didn’t want an answer, angel of a person. She fought breast cancer for 15 years and lost the final battle 7 years ago. Even when she was sick from chemo and radiation she would drive others to their doctor appointments because “they were sick and needed help”. I think of her every day and miss her but know she is up above watching her pride and joy (her grandchildren) grow up. I wish she was here with us so they could once again know just how much she loved them.
I am supporting Susan G. Komen because I know the work they do for the fighters and survivors is so important to those going through this battle. It is a great organization that deserves our support. Please consider making a donation of any size and please forward to your friends and family. It is greatly appreciated and the money is put to good work here in our local community to offer services to our friends and families that need a network of support to win their battle.
Thank you! Miss you Mom!!
