Watkins Insurance Account Manager Receives CSR Of The Year Award

On June 6thKellyLyttleaward, our own Kelly Lyttle was recognized as the CSR of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT). Kelly is the first Austin-based agent to receive this recognition. We are incredibly proud of Kelly’s accomplishment and are excited to celebrate this honor with her.
Kelly shared some insight about what it takes to be a successful CSR. She says her main priority when working with clients is to consult, not necessarily just “make a sale.” She genuinely cares about her clients and making sure their insurance coverage is in their best interest. Her advice for becoming a successful CSR is know your products and clients very well and feel comfortable enough to ask questions and make recommendations. Clients want agents to understand the whole picture and advise them based on their personal needs.
The most enjoyable part of Kelly’s job is getting to know each individual client. She works with all types of customers and no matter their needs treats each one with the respect and courtesy they deserve. She wants her clients to trust in her expertise and professionalism.
The CSR of the Year award concentrates on encouraging agents to focus on the role of customer service. Every year a customer service representative is awarded this honor because of their commitment to serving of the industry and community. The winner of this award receives $1500 prize sponsored by Myron F. Steves & Co. and free registration and travel expenses to IIAT’s Conference & Trade Show courtesy of the IIAT.
